Facebook vs. Blogging

As of late, I've had a personal dilemma.

Until my last post I hadn't updated our blog for 6 weeks. Why? Well I've been having an internal debate lately about whether to put photos and updates of our family on Facebook or on Blogger. I know, I know, this really isn't a serious problem (a first-world problem, as my brother-in-law Darren would say). However I don't have the patience to do both and I feel like I'm not pleasing everyone (including myself) if I only do one.

Obviously I enjoy the space I have to write on Blogger.  However the picture upload on Facebook is much faster.  Also, my family tends to check the blog more while most of my friends keep updated on my life through Facebook.

Any opinions from you fellow Facebook / Blogger users?

  1. I do both. I feel that once I do one, the pictures are already chosen and waiting on my desktop or a separate file, so I might as well do the other. I have the same problem with friends / family not wanting to check both. As well as that, facebook's organization of photos is awesome, but then key family members miss out and I'd end up emailing the photos anyway. I usually start the upload process on facebook, the do it on blogger while I wait. Incidentally, blogger usually finishes uploading before facebook - quality difference.

  3. Is this even a question? Blogger for sure! Facebook is typically for a bunch of people who don't really know or care about your current state of life. Blog's are for family and friends who care enough to take the time to see what your up to. Plus, at the end of the year you can print your blog into a book. It's like a journal! If you post something you want your Facebook friends to see than post a link to your blog.
